What is a phlebologist?
A phlebologist (phle·bol·o·gist) is a medically qualified doctor who has undergone further post-graduate training to expertly diagnose, treat and where possible, prevent any form of venous disease.
Seeing a phlebologist, means you will get advice from a medical professional who is an expert in all things vein related and receive internationally recommended treatment. These modern procedures do not require hospitalisation or a general anaesthetic and most importantly patient outcomes are much more successful than "Old-fashioned' surgical stripping.
The Leg Vein Doctor is Brisbane’s only devoted full-time phlebology practice and offers a wide range of non surgical treatments options for varicose and spider veins at their Auchenflower clinic.
Dr Nicholas Kemp was awarded a Fellowship at The World Congress of Phlebology in 2018 and has been treating veins for over a decade. Dr Kemp is passionate about offering the best level of care. He personally sees each patient from their initial appointment and ultrasound investigation, guiding them through their individual treatment protocol and a full year of reviews therefore ensuring successful results.
